      Description

The Brut Nature from the house of Alfred Gratien is a champagne that combines expressiveness and liveliness. The cellar master of the house, Nicolas Jaeger, wanted to highlight the liveliness of the grapes and the expression of the terroir in this cuvée.

Brut Nature Alfred Gratien is a blend of 3 main Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay (41%), Pinot Noir (32%), Pinot Meunier (27%). To this blend is added 15% of reserve wines which will add patina and suppleness.

It is a champagne that is vinified and aged, like the rest of the Alfred Gratien range, in small 228-liter oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation is blocked in order to preserve a beautiful expression of the terroirs.

It is a cuvée that has a luminous color. Its effervescence is calm and regular and the bubbles are fine and numerous.

The first nose is intense and quickly reveals notes of dried fruits and candied fruits. On the second nose, notes of hazelnut, walnut and jasmine emerge. The expression evolves very quickly on the flute.

The attack on the palate is frank, it is a tonic, lively palate. The calcareous and tangy minerality carries a beautiful freshness.

The finish prolongs the sensations perceived with a beautiful liveliness.
