Description

The Platine Premier Cru cuvée by Nicolas Maillart is a very elegant champagne with fine bubbles and fruity aromas. It is a perfect cuvée for an aperitif.

Made from a majority of Pinot Noir, the king of the Ecueil terroir, this champagne offers a beautiful aromatic structure, balanced by Chardonnay, which adds a touch of freshness. The blend gives pride of place to reserve wines (wines from the last harvest) aged in barrels (around 35%), which add a certain patina to the wine and a beautiful consistency.

Only grapes from Grand and Premiers Crus terroirs in the Montagne de Reims are used to make this Platine Premier Cru cuvée.

This champagne is aged for 3 to 4 years in the cellars of the house in order to reveal all the subtleties of its blend. Its dosage is low, around 1 g/l.

The Platine Premier Cru cuvée from Maillart has a golden color with fine, persistent bubbles.

On the nose, pleasant notes of apple and ripe fruit evolve into toasty, indulgent aromas.

On the palate, this champagne has a fresh, vinous attack before opening up to rich, fruity notes. The mouthfeel is very elegant, silky, and light.

A very fine cuvée for aperitifs.
