Nicolas Maillart's Brut Rosé 1er Cru is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The grapes come mainly from Bouzy (95%), renowned for the power of its Pinot Noir, and Villers-Allerand (5%), which brings a welcome freshness. The grapes are picked early in the morning and sorted before undergoing a short maceration to obtain a light, subtle pink color.
Vinification takes place entirely in oak barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation to preserve the wine's lively character and add depth. The dosage is deliberately minimal (1 g/l) to allow the purity of the fruit to shine through.
This rosé is born on clay-limestone soils that give the cuvée beautiful tension and a subtle mineral expression. These characteristics, combined with careful aging in barrels, give rise to a refined and structured wine that can accompany any meal.
Its pale pink color displays attractive salmon highlights. The effervescence is fine and regular, forming a persistent bead on the surface.
The nose evokes a basket of fresh red fruits: raspberry, redcurrant, and wild strawberry. Deeper notes of cherry and old rose enrich the delicate bouquet.
The palate is full-bodied, vinous and structured. The generosity of Bouzy Pinot Noir is balanced by the freshness of Chardonnay. The finish is long and fresh, marked by a touch of salt and flowers.
The magnum of Brut Rosé 1er Cru is available at a price of 104,95 €. The magnum format, ideal for cellaring and large gatherings, ensures a slower and more harmonious evolution of the wine. A great gift idea or a prestigious cuvée to be enjoyed among connoisseurs.
Appreciated for its purity of expression and aromatic delicacy, this rosé cuvée appeals to lovers of fine, gastronomic champagnes. Its great drinkability, combined with a beautiful structure, makes it a wine for immediate enjoyment or for laying down. Read reviews of this cuvée.
Enjoy now for its freshness and vinosity, or keep for 4 to 6 years for a more mature evolution. Serve at 62°F in a tulip glass to bring out its complexity and fruity aromas.
The magnum format allows for better wine preservation thanks to slower oxygenation, ensuring optimal aromatic development. It is also perfect for large gatherings or festive occasions, adding a touch of prestige and conviviality to every serving.
