Nicolas Maillart 's Cuvée Brut Rosé Premier Cru in magnum is a subtle, elegant expression of Champagne rosé. Made from a rigorous selection of old Pinot Noir vines from the prestigious terroirs of Bouzy and Villers-Allerand, this cuvée reflects Nicolas Maillart's mastery of winemaking. A delicate rosé, with a low dosage, in a magnum format ideal for special occasions.
Nicolas Maillart's Brut Rosé 1er Cru is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay. The grapes come mainly from Bouzy (95%), renowned for the power of its Pinot Noir, and Villers-Allerand (5%), which adds a welcome freshness. The bunches are picked early in the morning, then sorted before undergoing short maceration to obtain a light, subtle pink color.
Vinification takes place entirely in wood, with partial malolactic fermentation to preserve the wine's liveliness and add depth. Dosage is deliberately kept to a minimum(1 g/l) to allow the full purity of the fruit to express itself.
This rosé was born on clay-limestone soils that give the cuvée a beautiful tension and a mineral expression. These characteristics, combined with careful barrel ageing, give birth to a refined, structured wine, capable of accompanying an entire meal.
Pale pink with salmon hues. The effervescence is fine and regular, forming a persistent cordon on the surface.
The nose evokes a basket of fresh red fruits: raspberry, redcurrant, wild strawberry. Deeper notes of cherry and old rose enrich a delicate bouquet.
Full-bodied, vinous and structured. The generosity of Bouzy Pinot Noir is balanced by the freshness of Chardonnay. The finish is long, fresh and marked by a saline, floral touch.
The magnum of Brut Rosé 1er Cru is priced at 104,95 €. The magnum format, ideal for laying down as well as for grand tablées, guarantees a slower, more harmonious evolution of the wine. A great gift idea, or a prestige cuvée to be enjoyed by connoisseurs.
Appreciated for its purity of expression and aromatic delicacy, this rosé cuvée will appeal to lovers of fine, gourmet champagnes. Its great drinkability, combined with a fine structure, makes it a wine for immediate pleasure as well as for laying down. Read reviews of this cuvée.
Enjoy now for its freshness and vinosity, or keep for 4 to 6 years for a more mature evolution. Serve at 10-12°C in a tulip-shaped glass to enhance its complexity and fruity aromas.
The magnum format enables better preservation of the wine thanks to slower oxygenation, guaranteeing optimal aromatic development. It's also perfect for large tables or festive occasions, bringing a touch of prestige and conviviality to every service.
