Description

The Platine Premier Cru cuvée signed Nicolas Maillart is a very elegant champagne, with fine bubbles and fruity aromas. It is a perfect cuvée for an aperitif.

Made from a majority of Pinot Noir, the king of the land of Ecueil, this champagne offers a beautiful aromatic structure, balanced by Chardonnay which brings a touch of freshness. The blend leaves a lot of room for reserve wines (wines from the last harvest) aged in barrels (around 35%) which add a certain patina to the wine and a good consistency.

Only grapes from terroirs classified as Grand and Premiers Crus of the Montagne de Reims are used to develop this Platine Premier Cru cuvée.

This champagne ages 3 to 4 years in the cellars of the house to reveal all the subtleties of its blend. Its dosage is low, around 1 g / l.

The Platine Premier Cru cuvée from Maison Maillart has a gilded gold color with fine and persistent bubbles.

On the nose, we discover pleasant notes of apple, ripe fruit which evolves into grilled and gourmet aromas.

On the palate, it is a champagne that has a fresh and vinous attack, before opening up on rich and fruity notes. The palate is very elegant, silky and light.

A very nice aperitif cuvée.
