Spécial Gourmet champagne, produced by Vazart-Coquart, is an iconic cuvée, formerly known as "Spécial Foie Gras," which pairs well with a variety of dishes thanks to its rich yet smooth character.
This Blanc de Blancs champagne is blended with Chardonnays from vines planted over 40 years ago in the Grand Cru terroir of Chouilly.
This cuvée is vinified in stainless steel vats and undergoes malolactic fermentation. Spécial Gourmet is distinguished mainly by its dosage of 30 g/L, which makes this cuvée a dry Champagne and gives it a delicious, full-bodied touch.
This cuvée has a golden yellow color and fine effervescence, enlivened by a persistent bead.
The nose is rich with aromas of dried and candied fruits and reveals notes reminiscent of the forest floor. On the palate, the nose expresses tropical and spicy fruit fragrances.
On the palate, the texture is smooth and soft, then reveals orange, exotic and syrupy flavors that give this wine a beautiful roundness. The finish is fresh and elegant, with spicy and mineral notes.
This superb cuvée will enhance foie gras and also pairs perfectly with exotic poultry, Malaysian-style prawns, or a casserole of veal sweetbreads with chanterelle mushrooms and fresh almonds.
