Maison Vazart-Coquart's Spécial Club 2014 is a full-bodied, gourmet Blanc de Blancs champagne for special occasions. The Spécial Club is the house's prestige cuvée, and is only made in its finest years.
2014 was marked by a magnificent, dry spring, a cool, rainy autumn and a hot, sunny, very dry September, worthy of an August.
All the Chardonnays in this cuvée come from two parcels, "Le Mont Aigu" and "La Cerisière", 45-year-old vines located in the Grand Cru classified commune of Chouilly in the Côté des Blancs. This parcel is planted on a very chalky subsoil, which gives the grapes the freshness characteristic of this terroir.
This cuvée is vinified and aged in stainless steel vats to preserve all its freshness and extreme finesse. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to add roundness, and the wine is dosed at 3 g/L Extra-Brut. This cuvée is disgorged by hand, a technique known as "à la volée".
This champagne reveals a golden yellow color and fine, lively bubbles. On the nose, this cuvée awakens the senses with gourmet aromas of honey and ripe fruit. On the palate, round and elegant, it reveals great intensity with notes of pastry and dried fruit.
Maison Vazart-Coquart's Cuvée Spécial Club 2014 is ideal for special occasions, and goes perfectly with wild mushroom risotto, oriental tabbouleh or mountain tome.
