The CV 19 cuvée is a Blanc de Blancs, made from Chardonnay grapes from the prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs: Vertus (52%), Bergères-les-Vertus (27%), and Cramant (21%). The vines, which are on average 40 years old, enjoy south and south-east exposure on chalky clay-limestone soils. Vinification took place in stainless steel vats to preserve the freshness and purity of the aromas. After disgorging in June 2020, this cuvée aged for 39 months on slats, revealing a fine effervescence and great precision.
The CV 19 cuvée showcases the exceptional characteristics of the 2019 harvest, which continues to form the basis of the blend. The 2019 harvest was marked by beautifully ripe grapes and unique aromatic richness. This year stands out for its freshness and precision, particularly in the Chardonnays from the Côte des Blancs. The name of the cuvée, CV, comes from the two terroirs present in the blend: Cramant and Vertus.
The CV 19 champagne reveals a brilliant golden yellow color, enhanced by a fine effervescence.
