The production of Pol Roger's Sir Winston Churchill 2015 champagne
The Sir Winston Churchill 2015 vintage is a tribute to the preferences of the famous British statesman. It is made exclusively from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the best Grands Crus of Champagne. The vinification process has been designed to reveal all the richness and complexity of these grape varieties. It is carried out in stainless steel vats to preserve purity and freshness. Malolactic fermentation is carried out, as with all Pol Roger wines. This adds roundness to the wine. This cuvée then benefits from extended aging in the cellars of the Pol Roger house in Épernay. The precise dosage highlights the perfect balance between freshness and roundness.
The 2015 vintage
The 2015 vintage in Champagne, particularly in the Grands Crus, was marked by exceptionally hot and dry summer weather. This vintage offers wines of great concentration, where power is harmoniously balanced with the characteristic freshness of the Grands Crus terroirs.
