Sir Winston Churchill, Maison Pol Roger's prestige cuvée, presented here in a jeroboam, was created in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, drawing on the qualities he preferred in champagne: robustness, structure, and maturity.

Composed exclusively of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grand Cru vineyards from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, already cultivated during the Churchill era, this cuvée is only produced in the best vintages. 2015 is the 21st vintage of this cuvée since its creation in 1975.

After vinification in stainless steel vats and malolactic fermentation, this 2015 vintage is slowly aged in the House's cellars, where each bottle is riddled by hand in the traditional manner.

This 2015 vintage has a brilliant golden color and a string of very fine bubbles.

The expressive nose reveals notes of spice and pepper as well as menthol nuances. It then opens up to generous aromas of candied fruit, dried fruit, papaya, and mango.

On the palate, the wine is equally generous, with candied fruit aromas supported by notes of pastries, brioche, and cocoa.

This 2015 Sir Winston Churchill cuvée is marked by a very nice length that makes you want to pair it with moments of great gastronomy.
