Sir Winston Churchill, Maison Pol Roger's prestige cuvée, was created in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, drawing on the qualities he preferred in champagne: robustness, structure, and maturity.

Composed exclusively of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Grand Cru vineyards from the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, already cultivated during the Churchill era, this cuvée is only produced in the best vintages. 2013 is only the 20th vintage of this cuvée since its creation in 1975.

The 2013 vintage was particularly late, but the glorious summer provided maximum sunshine and low rainfall, ideal conditions for the ripening of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The autumn harvest then produced elegant wines with a pronounced freshness.

After vinification in stainless steel vats and malolactic fermentation, this 2013 vintage is aging gently in the House's cellars, where each bottle is riddled by hand in the traditional manner.

This cuvée has an old gold color with gray highlights and airy bubbles.

The bouquet reveals a beautiful freshness, with aromas of dried flowers and pepper, complemented by notes of vanilla and candied fruit when aerated.

On the palate, the wine is balanced, starting with citrus notes, then becoming generous and captivating, with aromas of quince and green tea.

This precise and delicious 2013 Sir Winston Churchill cuvée is the ideal accompaniment to caviar or raw fish, whether tartare or sashimi.
