Piper-Heidsieck's Rosé Sauvage cuvée
is a blended rosé composed of 60% Pinot Noir (15% of which is vinified as red wine), 20% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, with a minimum of 25% reserve wines. The red wines are mainly sourced from a selection of plots in the village of Les Riceys, renowned for the quality of its Pinots.
This cuvée is vinified and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and undergoes malolactic fermentation. After aging on lees for at least 24 months, the cuvée is dosed Brut with 9g/l of sugar to maintain a perfect balance between intensity and freshness.
Rosé Sauvage is distinguished by an intense red color with ruby highlights, revealing a high proportion of red wine in the blend.
The Rosé Sauvage cuvée is a delicious, fruity and intense champagne, offering an explosion of aromas of blood orange, wild strawberry, black cherry and blackberry jam, followed by smoky and spicy notes and a hint of licorice.
On the palate, the texture is round and structured. Its intense red fruit notes make this Rosé Sauvage a true epicurean rosé that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with a meal.
