For this special edition, G.H. Mumm has created 3 cases based on the codes of the now-famous Protocole Champagne. Three versions are available, and shipped randomly.
G.H. Mumm's Cordon Rouge is the house's most famous cuvée. It's a champagne that combines fruitiness, delicacy and freshness, and is the perfect aperitif cuvée.
Made from a blend of over 77 crus from all the great terroirs of Champagne, Cordon Rouge Mumm gives pride of place to Pinot Noir (45%), which brings structure and power, while Chardonnay (30%) provides finesse and elegance, and Pinot Meunier its fruitiness and roundness.
This champagne has a golden, sparkling color, animated by fine bubbles.
Cordon Rouge Mumm has a nose of fresh fruit, white and yellow peaches and apricots, as well as hints of exotic fruit. After a few moments, this cuvée opens up to more gourmand notes of vanilla, caramel, brioche and honey.
On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, then gives way to a round, full-bodied, slightly vinous wine. The fruity, gourmet aromas discovered on the nose are repeated, with a long, round finish.
