The Extra Brut Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs from Lombard is a champagne that combines delicious notes with great freshness.
This cuvée is made from a blend of Pinot Noir grapes from Premier Cru classified terroirs (Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses, Ludes, Sermiers, Cumières). Sixty percent of the wines are aged in stainless steel vats, while the remaining 40% are aged in oak barrels. This allows for a beautiful balance between the tension and freshness provided by the stainless steel vats and the patina and richness imparted by the micro-oxygenation of the wood.
The cellar master has chosen to block malolactic fermentation for 80% of the wines in order to preserve their energy. The Extra Brut Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs from Champagne Lombard is then aged for 3 to 4 years in the cellars of the house in Epernay. Its dosage is light (4g/l) in order to preserve all the tension of the wine.
This is a cuvée with great finesse and elegance, revealing beautiful toasted notes, which will accompany an aperitif or pair well with shellfish or white meat.
