Champagne Leclerc-Briant's Cuvée La Croisette is a cuvée that combines lovely fruit notes with a fine vinosity. It's a champagne to be enjoyed as an aperitif, but even more so with gourmet dishes such as salmon rillettes with lemon caviar, poached cod or asparagus.
This is a champagne made from Chardonnay grapes from a parcel of Chardonnays located in Epernay. The wines from the 2014 harvest were vinified and aged in oak barrels. La Croisette was disgorged in May 2018, and not dosed.
This is a cuvée with a brilliant, dense color, with greenish-yellow reflections tending towards silvery yellow. Its bubbles are fine and lively, forming a persistent collar.
The first nose evokes peach, yellow apple, pear and citrus fruit. The second nose reveals notes of almond, iodine and menthol.
On the palate, this is a fresh, clean champagne that develops a fruity, coated body, underlined by fine tension.
The finish is full, with aromas of white fruit and infusion.
