      Description

The 2015 vintage of Henriot champagne illustrates the house's artistry in capturing the spirit of an exceptional year. Made exclusively from Premiers and Grands Crus, it accurately reflects the sunny character of 2015 while retaining remarkable freshness. This champagne is distinguished by its depth, intense aromas, and refined palate. Elegant and distinguished, it is a wine for fine dining, tailor-made for refined meals and special occasions.

The production of Henriot's 2015 Vintage Champagne

2015 was marked by a hot, dry climate, which produced concentrated grapes of exceptional ripeness. The cuvée is the result of a balanced blend of two iconic grape varieties:

      • 53% Pinot Noir: brings structure, vinosity, and aromatic power, with intense black fruit notes.
      • 47% Chardonnay: confers elegance, tension, and mineral freshness, ensuring great precision on the palate.

      The terroir

The grapes come exclusively from Premiers and Grands Crus, a choice that guarantees finesse and depth. Among the iconic villages are:

      • Verzenay (Montagne de Reims): renowned for the power of its rich and structured Pinot Noir.
      • Avenay and Mutigny: produce expressive Pinot Noirs that are both fruity and elegant.
      • Trépail: famous for its racy, straightforward, and mineral Chardonnay.
      • Chouilly (Côte des Blancs): offers delicate and refined Chardonnays with floral notes and crystalline reflections.

      Vinification

For this vintage, the vinification process allowed the concentration of the grapes to be expressed while retaining freshness and balance. The wine was aged for at least 8 years in cellars, a long period that gave it depth and complexity. The dosage of 2.5 g/L makes it a precise Extra-Brut, which allows the aromatic richness to fully express itself without masking the purity of the wine.

      The 2015 vintage in Champagne

The year 2015 is considered to have been sunny. High temperatures and drought marked the growing cycle. Yields were uneven, but the quality of the grapes was exceptional. Their ripeness and aromatic concentration gave rise to powerful wines with great personality. According to cellar master Alice Tétienne, this vintage goes "beyond sunny character": it combines charisma, freshness, and distinction.

      Tasting the cuvée

      Storage and serving tips

      Storing this champagne

Store the un-wrapped bottle of Henriot Millésime 2015 in a cellar or a dark, cool place at a stable temperature of 10 to 12°C. Storing it on its side keeps the cork moist and ensures a perfect seal.

      Aging potential

Thanks to its long aging and structure, Henriot's 2015 Vintage has excellent aging potential. It can be enjoyed now for its freshness and straightforwardness, but will continue to evolve harmoniously for another 10 to 15 years, gaining in aromatic complexity and roundness.

      Serving suggestions

Serve this champagne between 9 and 12°C in large tulip glasses or white wine glasses to allow its aromatic complexity to express itself. It is not necessary to decant it, but let it breathe for a few moments in the glass before tasting.
