2015 was marked by a hot, dry climate, which produced concentrated grapes of exceptional ripeness. The cuvée is the result of a balanced blend of two iconic grape varieties:
The grapes come exclusively from Premiers and Grands Crus, a choice that guarantees finesse and depth. Among the iconic villages are:
For this vintage, the vinification process allowed the concentration of the grapes to be expressed while retaining freshness and balance. The wine was aged for at least 8 years in cellars, a long period that gave it depth and complexity. The dosage of 2.5 g/L makes it a precise Extra-Brut, which allows the aromatic richness to fully express itself without masking the purity of the wine.
The year 2015 is considered to have been sunny. High temperatures and drought marked the growing cycle. Yields were uneven, but the quality of the grapes was exceptional. Their ripeness and aromatic concentration gave rise to powerful wines with great personality. According to cellar master Alice Tétienne, this vintage goes "beyond sunny character": it combines charisma, freshness, and distinction.
The Henriot Millésime 2015 cuvée has a bright golden yellow color with sparkling highlights. Its effervescence is fine and regular, promising elegance and finesse.
On the nose, the champagne seduces with its intensity. It offers aromas of black fruits, enriched by a striking minerality. Woody and smoky notes complete this complex and distinguished palette.
The palate is chiseled and precise. It expresses integrity and distinction, with power balanced by a surprising freshness for a sunny vintage. The finish is long and elegant, marked by the depth of the terroirs and the finesse of the blend.
Store the un-wrapped bottle of Henriot Millésime 2015 in a cellar or a dark, cool place at a stable temperature of 10 to 12°C. Storing it on its side keeps the cork moist and ensures a perfect seal.
Thanks to its long aging and structure, Henriot's 2015 Vintage has excellent aging potential. It can be enjoyed now for its freshness and straightforwardness, but will continue to evolve harmoniously for another 10 to 15 years, gaining in aromatic complexity and roundness.
Serve this champagne between 9 and 12°C in large tulip glasses or white wine glasses to allow its aromatic complexity to express itself. It is not necessary to decant it, but let it breathe for a few moments in the glass before tasting.
