The Rosé Extra Brut cuvée from Champagne Emeline De Sloovere is a blend of Meunier and Chardonnay grapes from the southern slopes of Épernay. Aged for at least 36 months on lees, this cuvée reflects Emeline's regenerative philosophy: living soils, preserved biodiversity, long aging, and sustainable viticulture. A bright, fresh, and elegant rosé.
This cuvée aims to combine the richness of Meunier and the purity of Chardonnay in a structured, taut and delicately fruity rosé. Emeline De Sloovere seeks a balance between freshness, energy and expression of the terroir, relying on gentle vinification and prolonged aging.
The grapes come from the southern slopes of Épernay, an area combining fractured chalk and fine clay. The vines, often several decades old and selected from massal selections, are cultivated using a regenerative approach: plant cover, compost, and floral diversity. This living terroir produces grapes with a beautiful mineral structure.
Vinification takes place in vats, followed by 36 months of aging on lees in the house's cellars. The estate continues the family's perpetual reserve, started in the 1990s, enriching the wine's complexity. The final style remains taut and pure, with an Extra Brut dosage.
Bright pale pink with salmon highlights. Fine, regular bubbles, elegant and delicate.
Fresh strawberry, redcurrant, pale rose, orange peel, and a hint of chalk. A precise and delicately floral bouquet.
Fresh and dynamic attack. Silky texture, crisp red fruit, citrus zest. Dry, pure and subtly salty finish.
An elegant and precise rosé, perfect for accompanying fresh, salty, and slightly spicy dishes.
Store Rosé Extra Brut at 10–12°C in a dark, stable cellar with around 70% humidity. It will develop harmoniously over 4 to 8 years, gaining roundness, dried floral notes, and fruity complexity.
Aging potential: 6 to 8 years. In the first three years, the wine expresses its pure fruit and tension. Between 4 and 6 years, it gains depth: stewed red fruits, subtle pastry notes. At the end of the aging period, a delicate maturity sets in.
We recommend serving this rosé at 9–10°C in a thin tulip glass, allowing its delicate fruit and chalky texture to express themselves to the fullest. A short oxygenation in the glass reveals its floral finesse.
