      Description

The Dom Pérignon Vintage Rosé 2000 is almost certainly the most audacious demonstration of this famous champagne house’s skills.

When Pierre Pérignon, the spiritual father of champagne, took up his functions at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668 his acknowledged aim was to make “the best wine in the world”.

Over 350 years later the house of Dom Pérignon continues with his vision, that of luxury and the permanent reinvention of the exceptional. It was this spirit that inspired Richard Geoffroy, Dom Pérignon’s cellar master, when he created the most recent Vintage Dom Pérignon.

This blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is beautifully and surprisingly amber colored with glinting coppery highlights.

The nose first evokes cherry and candied peel, followed after a few minutes by cocoa and peaty notes.

Perfectly balanced in the mouth, combining vivacity and finesse, this champagne is full bodied, silky and potent with bright fruit finishing with great persistence on a note of pink grapefruit.

A clean, bittersweet cuvee. Definitively an immense champagne.
