The Cuvée Tradition from Diebolt-Vallois is a blend of 30% Chardonnay, 35 to 45% Pinot Noir, and 25 to 35% Pinot Meunier, a blend that varies from year to year to maintain the champagne's consistency and regularity.
Made from grapes grown on the Diebolt-Vallois estate, the Cuvée Tradition is a champagne with character and a beautiful personality.
This champagne is a Cuvée Tradition, as it is the most typical cuvée in Champagne, where 75% of the vineyards are planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and 25% with Chardonnay. These proportions are roughly the same in the Cuvée Tradition.
It is a champagne for aperitifs and the start of a meal, but can also be enjoyed later in the meal than the Blanc de Blancs, which is purely an aperitif champagne.
This is a champagne that appeals to a wide audience and is ideal for ceremonies such as weddings.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasThe Cuvée Tradition by Diebolt-Vallois is a champagne with a light yellow color and green highlights and beautiful brilliance. Its bubbles are fine and slow.
The nose is complex, with mineral notes, lots of freshness, and very pronounced citrus aromas.
The palate confirms the nose, revealing a fresh, lively wine with notes of pink grapefruit and lime. The Cuvée Tradition Diebolt-Vallois offers a powerful, elegant and balanced character. A cuvée that is highly representative of the house.
This is a champagne that I recommend serving as an aperitif or at the start of a meal. The Cuvée Tradition Diebolt-Vallois will express its aromas to the full when served at 9°C.
