      Description

The Brut Cordon Bleu cuvée from the Champagne house De Venoge, here offered with two flutes, is characterized by a balanced blend, reflecting the diversity of Champagne: 45% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 25% Pinot Meunier.

The Cordon Bleu was instituted by the King of France Henri III as the badge of the Order of the Holy Spirit which he created in 1578. Since the 18th century, this symbol of excellence has been associated with exceptional dinners at the Court and large families.

The first appearance of Cordon Bleu on a Venoge label dates from 1851. Little by little, the Cordon Bleu cuvée became more than one cuvée among others, but the real spearhead of the house, to the point of being in the thirties the benchmark cuvée.

Today, the Cordon Bleu symbol is found in the four traditional cuvées of the Champagne House De Venoge: Brut, Brut Millésimé, Brut Blanc de Blancs and Demi-sec.

The Brut Cordon Bleu from the Champagne house De Venoge has a magnificent golden color, enlivened by fine bubbles.

Composed only of wines coming exclusively from the single Cuvée, the first juice from the press, this Champagne exudes great finesse.

Le Cordon Bleu offers a nose revealing aromas of flowers evolving towards brioche.

On the palate, it is a fresh, lively Champagne, without aggressiveness, light and balanced.
