This cuvée stands out for its elegance and ability to evolve over time. Whether served with a gourmet meal or as a refined aperitif, it will delight lovers of great champagnes.
Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésime 2012 is made from 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay. This blended rosé also includes 9% red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes from the best terroirs of the Montagne de Reims (Verzy, Ambonnay and Les Riceys). These terroirs bring structure and depth to the wine.
The year 2012 was marked by difficult weather conditions, with attacks of mildew, heavy rains and even hailstorms. However, generous sunshine in August allowed the grapes to ripen slowly, resulting in concentrated berries of exceptional quality. This year, often compared to legendary vintages such as 1990 and 1996, is considered miraculous. The 2012 vintage is renowned for its high sugar content and excellent acidity, two essential elements for optimal aging in the cellar.
Aged for at least 10 years, this champagne has a dosage of 9 g/l, which preserves its freshness while adding a beautiful roundness.
The Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésime 2012 has a beautiful copper color with orange highlights. Its fine, dynamic effervescence reflects its long maturation in the cellar.
The first nose is rich with aromas of ripe fruit mixed with toasted and smokynotes. After a few moments, scents of pomegranate, plum, quince, and a touch of fresh almonds emerge.
The attack is clean with a lovely freshness. The fruit notes discovered on the nose return on the mid-palate. The finish is long, powerful and elegant.
The price of a bottle of Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésime 2012 champagne is 139,95 €. This price reflects the exceptional quality of the grapes, the rarity of this vintage and its long aging in the cellar. It is a collector's champagne that offers excellent value for money for lovers of exceptional vintages.
