The magnum of Champagne Canard-Duchêne Brut Léonie Iconic perfectly embodies the elegance and intensity characteristic of the House. Created in tribute to Léonie Duchêne, co-founder of the House, this cuvée combines precision, freshness, and a carefully balanced richness. In magnum format, it expresses its full aromatic potential and offers extended aging potential, perfect for special occasions.
Brut Léonie Iconic is a subtle blend of wines from the last harvest before blending, complemented by 50% reserve wines from a perpetual reserve started in 2012, the oldest of which date back to 2009. This depth of time gives the wine exceptional complexity and consistency. The blend combines the three Champagne grape varieties in a very balanced way:
The grapes come from iconic terroirs such as Ludes, Verzy, Nogent-l'Abbesse, Épernay, Vertus, Sermiers and Bethon. The cuvée is aged for a minimum of three years in the cellars of Domaine de Ludes, at 11°C, in total darkness and high humidity. The dosage is kept to less than 7g/L, preserving the wine's natural freshness while enhancing its generosity.
The magnum format is ideal for enhancing the aging of champagne. Thanks to its lower oxygen/wine ratio, it allows for a slower, more harmonious evolution and reveals a silky texture. Perfect for lovers of complex champagnes or celebrations, a magnum serves around 12 flutes and magnifies the tasting experience.
The color of the Brut Léonie Iconic magnum is a bright pale gold, sparkling and topped with a fine, abundant mousse.
The nose reveals a beautiful fruitiness dominated by juicy yellow peach, combined with aromas of dried flowers and a delicately toasted touch.
On the palate, this champagne seduces with its crisp freshness and notes of exotic fruits such ascandied pineapple. The finish is generous, supported by subtle sweet spices.
The price of a magnum of Canard-Duchêne Brut Léonie Iconic champagne is 75,95 €. Its aromatic generosity, finesse, and consistency make it the perfect cuvée for fine dining and special celebrations.
Tasters appreciate the balance between freshness and maturity, the richness of the fruit and the precision of the blend. The notes of exotic fruits and sweet spices are particularly highlighted in this format. Read reviews of the Brut Léonie Iconic magnum.
