The Héritage Rosé cuvée from Brice is a champagne with fruit and freshness. It is a cuvée that will pair beautifully with a red fruit dessert or even a cocktail reception.
It is a blended rosé, meaning that red wine is added to the blend. This wine is, of course, produced from grapes grown in the Brice vineyard in Bouzy, one of the villages most renowned for its red wines. This red wine is added to the same blend as the Héritage cuvée, a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir grapes come from the Bouzy and Loches-sur-Ource terroirs, while the Chardonnay comes from the Grauves terroir in the Côte des Blancs village.
This Rosé champagne, created by Brice's cellar master Christophe Constant, is vinified and aged in stainless steel vats to preserve its freshness. In the same vein, malolactic fermentation is not carried out in order to maintain a high level of tension.
The dosage is Extra Brut (5g/l), which simply highlights the aromatic and delicious character of this Rosé champagne.
The Héritage Rosé cuvée from Maison Brice has a very elegant powdery pink color and extremely fine bubbles.
On the nose, this champagne reveals delicate notes of red fruit and a more floral touch.
On the palate, this cuvée opens with a fresh, tense, almost chalky attack, followed by the lovely red fruit notes discovered on the nose. The finish is very beautiful, with a slight saltiness.
A very fine rosé champagne that will pair beautifully with red fruit desserts, but also, more surprisingly, with lobster or summer salads.
