Nicolas Maillart's Cuvée Mont Martin 1er Cru 2019 is a fruity, powerful champagne.
It's a plot-based cuvée, made from Pinot Meunier grapes sourced exclusively from the Les Monts Martin lieu-dit on the Premier Cru terroir of Villers Allerand.
This is a champagne of astonishing freshness and great aromatic expressiveness. Vinified in oak barrels, then aged on lees for 8 months, this cuvée has a strong character. Unbalanced, Cuvée Mont Martin 2018 reveals its full, unvarnished character.
The combination of Pinot Meunier and the very fine 2019 vintage offers a cuvée with ripeness already present, beautiful fruit notes, and a saline touch brought by the clay-limestone terroir of Villers Allerand. A great cuvée for aperitifs and dinners!
