The Brut Nature cuvée from Veuve Fourny is a balanced champagne bursting with freshness and intensity. This wine is unpretentious and highlights all the delicacy of Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay used in this Blanc de Blancs comes from old vines over 40 years old, planted on the terroir of Vertus, a Premier Cru commune in the Côte des Blancs.
This cuvée is vinified in vats and barrels and aged on lees for seven months. To preserve the authenticity of this champagne, Emmanuel and Charles-Henri Fourny have chosen not to add sugar. This Brut Nature thus expresses the freshness and tension characteristic of their beautiful Vertus terroirs.
This Blanc de Blancs impresses with its harmony and structure. On the nose, aromas of poached pear and flowers dominate. The palate is fruity and balanced, building in intensity and adding notes of toasted brioche, lemon zest, and white peach. The long, smooth finish is supported by a salty, mineral accent.
This Brut Nature champagne pairs beautifully with seafood served at the beginning of a meal.
