A tribute from Alain Thiénot to his son Stanislas, this Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs is a cuvée with pastry and buttery aromas and a golden color.
Produced from the prestigious terroirs of Avize, Cramant and Chouilly, this elegant and subtle cuvée brilliantly expresses its terroir.
2008 is one of the finest vintages Champagne has seen in the last 20 years. The climate was a contrast of sunshine and coolness, giving the wines exceptional natural balance and revealing the chalky terroir of the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs.
The harvest took place under sunny skies with relatively cool temperatures, allowing the grapes to ripen fully and remain in excellent condition. The 2008 vintage is characterized by its freshness, tension, purity, salinity, finesse, and aromatic precision.
Aged for nine years in the cellars of Maison Thiénot, this champagne perfectly expresses the breadth and complexity of the different terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. The nose reveals delicious aromas of hazelnut, pistachio, and dried fruit. On the palate, dried apricot and citrus blend together to create a full-bodied and generous champagne.
An aperitif wine, it will reveal itself even more when paired with shellfish, crustaceans, or goat cheese.
