      Description

Brut 2005 from Roederer is forceful and intense in a register of ripe fruits and spices with a delicately silky palate.

Louis Roederer create vintage champagnes with the emphasis on structure and power; cuvees with a large proportion of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, the terroir of excellence in Champagne for this variety.

For the Brut 2005, the choice was made to blend 70% Pinot Noir with 30% Chardonnay, and to ferment one third of the blend in oak.

Then followed 4 to 5 years in Roederer’s cellars for all the aromas to fully mature and develop.

Roederer Brut 2005 is shimmering gold with coppery highlights.

The nose is lightly spicy with an abundance of ripe fruit and a very delicate touch of chocolate.

Full bodied, powerful, rich and dense, the smooth texture of the palate enrobes the rich fruit aromas.

This Brut 2005 offers good balance between concentration and freshness, suavity and minerality.
