Description
The 2016 Irizée Meunier cuvée produced by Régis Poissinet is a 100% Meunier champagne that reveals notes of ripe fruit with a hint of saltiness. It is a cuvée with astonishing energy.
This cuvée is the result of a rigorous selection of Pinot Meunier grapes from the estate's old vines, planted on clay-limestone and silty-limestone soils in the Marne Valley.
Half of the wines are vinified in wood and the other half in stainless steel vats. After bottling, the Irizée Meunier 2016 cuvée spends 6 to 7 years in the estate's cellars under cork. This unique closure allows micro-oxygenation, which gives the wine a patina.
Irizée Meunier 2016 is an Extra Brut champagne.
It is a rare cuvée, produced in a limited edition of only 1,702 bottles.
