      Description

Les Perles du Paradis from Maison R. Faivre is a champagne designed for pleasure and indulgence, dosed as Extra Brut to allow the purity of red berries and pastry notes to shine through.

This sublime rosé champagne blend showcases the terroir of Belval-sous-Châtillon. Born from a rigorous selection on the famous "Ilot du Paradis"—a hillside renowned for its freshness and aromatic concentration—this cuvée is distinguished by the addition of a red wine (Coteaux Champenois) of great finesse.

The Making of Les Perles du Paradis

This cuvée is the result of a complex blend that combines three grape varieties and several vintages to achieve a perfect balance between freshness and richness.

      A Terroir Rosé

      • Composition: 41% Meunier, 39% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Noir.
      • The Secret of the Rosé: The blend includes 11% red wine (Coteaux Champenois) sourced exclusively from old Meunier vines in the "La Bertellerie" plot on the Paradis hillside.
      • Reserve Wines: 40% of the blend (from the 2018, 2019, and 2020 vintages) to provide depth and consistency.
      • Vinification: Tank fermentation, malolactic fermentation completed, light filtration, and cold stabilization.
      • Aging: 24 months of cellaring to refine the bubbles.
      • Dosage: Extra Brut at 1 g/L.

      The 2022 Base

Although this is a non-vintage Brut, this edition is based on the 2022 harvest. This sunny vintage brings a natural concentration of fruit, ideally balanced by the “cool and delicate” climate of the Paradis islet, which preserves the tension essential to the rosé’s balance.

      Tasting notes

      • Color

The color is elegant, adorned with shimmering salmon-pink highlights, with a effervescence composed of very fine bubbles.

      • Nose

The nose is an invitation to indulge, dominated by vibrant aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, raspberries) intertwined with pastry notes reminiscent of pink biscuit.

      • Palate

On the palate, the attack is fresh and precise. The texture is silky, carried by generous fruitiness that fills the palate. The finish is clean, briny, and lingers with great aromatic persistence.

      Storage and Serving Recommendations

      Aging Potential

This rosé champagne is built on fruit and indulgence, but its structure allows it to age well:

      • 2026–2027: Full-bodied red fruit and vibrant pastry-like freshness.
      • 2028–2030: Development of notes of candied wild berries and brioche.
      • Beyond 2031: Evolution toward a more complex vinous character, ideal for the table.

      Serving Suggestions

To preserve its delicate aromas, serve this champagne between 8°C and 10°C. A tulip-shaped glass is recommended to concentrate the red fruit aromas.

      The Winemaker’s Story

L'ilot de Paradis is a unique parcel within the Belval vineyard. Known for being a cooler sector, it demands infinite patience from the winemaker. However, this climatic delicacy is the key to the unique character of the "Perles": it allows the grapes to concentrate red fruit aromas without losing their liveliness, creating this striking contrast between richness and freshness.
