Pommery's signature 2002 vintage is one of the most successful of the last 20 years. This magnum combines the freshness of this great vintage with the delicacy and elegance of the Pommery style.
It's a champagne that blends Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, grapes coming exclusively from terroirs classified as Grand Cru.
The 2002 Pommery Vintage in magnum has a golden color with green highlights, revealing the high proportion of Chardonnay. Its bubbles are fine and delicate, moving slowly through the glass.
The nose is impressive, rich, broad and powerful. The wine's generosity is obvious. The presence of Côte des Blancs Chardonnays is evident from the freshness of the nose. After a few moments, the wine warms up slightly, revealing greedy notes of pastry and fresh fruit.
On the palate, the 2002 vintage surprises with its richness and roundness. On the mid-palate, mineral tension and freshness take over, accompanied by floral notes. The finish is clean, elegant and lasts for many seconds.
