Pommery Brut Apanage is a remarkable cuvée. It is a champagne designed to pair beautifully with fine food.
Made from a selection of grapes from 17 of the best vineyards in Champagne, it is a cuvée of rare elegance.
The production of Pommery Brut Apanage champagne
Pommery Brut Apanage is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, with a marked predominance of Chardonnay. This grape variety gives the wine its freshness, elegance and structure. Unlike Brut Royal, which uses 40 different crus, Brut Apanage is based on a more limited selection of 17 crus, chosen for their finesse and character.
This cuvée is vinified and aged in stainless steel vats to bring out the tension and freshness of the terroir. Brut Apanage Pommery contains more reserve wine than Brut Royal, giving it a more assertive character. This cuvée is then aged in the Pommery champagne cellars to develop its aromatic complexity. This long aging process brings great complexity and increased finesse. The dosage, slightly lower than that of Brut Royal, allows the essence of the grapes and the terroir to express themselves fully.
