Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2013 is a champagne of freshness, finesse and elegance. The 2013 vintage had a particularly late cycle, but the radiant summer allowed maximum sunshine and low rainfall, ideal parameters for ripening Chardonnays. The autumn harvest produced elegant, fresh wines.
This blend is composed exclusively of Chardonnays selected from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs: Oiry, Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
This cuvée is vinified and aged in stainless-steel vats to preserve maximum freshness, malolactic fermentation is carried out and the wine is aged for 6 years in the House's cellars, 33 meters below ground, where each bottle is stirred by hand in the traditional way. The Brut dosage is 7 g/L.
This Blanc de Blancs 2013 is distinguished by its beautiful pale gold color dotted with a fine, elegant effervescence with a regular cordon.
The first nose reveals a discreet bouquet blending dried fruit, white flowers, pastry and meringue notes, supported by a subtle chalky, almost mentholated freshness and blond tobacco. The nose then gives off fine, delicate fragrances of fresh grass and butter.
On the palate, the attack is firm and chiselled, followed by complex aromas of fruit and brioche, counterbalanced by the wine's freshness. The delicate finish is marked by notes of peach and dried fruit.
This Blanc de Blancs 2013 cuvée from the House of Pol Roger coats the palate to perfection, combining roundness and balance.
