The 2002 Pol Roger Rosé is an outstanding vintage from a very special year.

Indeed, in 2002 there was a mild winter and a hot summer, but the return of good weather just before harvest in September resulted in an abundant clean crop, which has produced early maturing wines.

Pol Roger never produces Non vintage Rosé champagne.

2002 Pol Roger Rosé is a vintage champagne made of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% and Chardonnay, from up to twenty Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims.

The wine then has 15% still red Pinot Noir wine from the Montagne de Reims added to the blend.

The great 2002 vintage is pale pink in color.

The rose petal fragrances gives place to a palate where wild strawberry, spiced pepper and gentle herbs are pleasingly conjoined.

Then, there are some pleasant bread-like and yeasty characters. The result is a delicious and silky finish for a full-bodied wine of character.
