      Description

The Liesse d'Harbonville cuvée represents the quintessence of Maison Ployez-Jacquemart. It therefore requires special attention and is only produced in exceptional years. Its vinification is different, while retaining the personality of the vintage.

The 2002 vintage is considered one of the greatest of the last 20 years. September was exceptional, offering a unique aromatic concentration of berries.

Made entirely in oak barrels, the blend is always the same: 66% Chardonnay, 17% Pinot Noir, and 17% Meunier. The first fermentation takes place in barrels and malolactic fermentation is blocked to allow the wines to develop very fine and elegant aromas. Simple topping up and racking are carried out between harvest and bottling.

The work in barrels creates great richness, a beautiful structure and complexity in this wine. The natural acidity of this blend, despite a minimum of 10 years' ageing in the cellars of the House, will highlight the character of the year while maintaining its exceptional freshness. The wine is dosed Extra-Brut at 3 g/L.

This 2002 Liesse d'Harbonville cuvée reveals a golden color and delicate bubbles with a lingering finish. On the palate, fruit fragrances dominate. It is a true alliance of white fruits, red fruits and citrus fruits, then the palette of aromas expands to deliver delicious notes of honey with a hint of empyreumatic on the finish. The finish is long and fresh.
