      Description

The Liesse d'Harbonville cuvée represents the quintessence of Maison Ployez-Jacquemart. It therefore requires special attention and is only produced in exceptional years. Its vinification is different, while retaining the personality of the vintage.

The year 2004 was marked by a mild winter, a cool spring and finally a hot, dry summer. However, the rainy month of August revived the growth of the grapes, which had slowed due to lack of water, and a sunny September brought the finishing touch to a harvest of magnificent maturity.

Made entirely in oak barrels, the blend is always the same: 66% Chardonnay, 17% Pinot Noir, and 17% Meunier. The first fermentation takes place in the barrels and malolactic fermentation is blocked to allow the wines to develop very fine and elegant aromas. Simple topping up and racking are carried out between harvest and bottling.

The work in barrels creates great richness, a beautiful structure and complexity in this wine. The natural acidity of this blend, despite a minimum of 10 years' ageing in the cellars of the House, will highlight the character of the year while maintaining its exceptional freshness. The wine is dosed Extra-Brut at 3 g/L.

This 2004 Liesse d'Harbonville cuvée reveals a bright, golden color. On the palate, the wine is smooth and round, with a creamy effervescence that highlights the maturity and freshness of the cuvée.
