Oenophile Non Dosé 2008 is a special cuvée in the Pierre Gimonnet & Fils range. It's a non-dosed champagne, a blend of the estate's finest crus, those from the noblest origins, capable of delivering great complexity.
Cuvée Oenophile 2008 is a Blanc de Blancs champagne, made from a blend of Chardonnays 35.5% from Cramant Grand Cru terroir, 32.5% from Chouilly Grand Cru, 10% from Oger Grand Cru, 22% from Cuis 1er Cru terroir and 2% from Vertus 1er Cru.
This champagne is aged in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats for 8 months before being bottled and aged for 11 years in the Maison Gimonnet cellars.
This is a cuvée Nature, with no dosage, where only the nobility of the terroir is expressed, carried by the vintage. The 2008 vintage was one of the finest in Champagne in recent years.
A great year and a great terroir could only give birth to a great champagne.
