Cuvée Sublime Réserve from Philipponnat has been specially created for gastronomy, to add a touch of roundness.
It's a champagne whose quality and style come from its blend, not its dosage.
In its 2002 vintage, Sublime Réserve Philipponnat is made from 100% Chardonnay from terroirs classified Premiers and Grands Crus. The dosage is 30 g/L.
This champagne is vinified without the use of wood or malolactic fermentation, to preserve its natural freshness and offer excellent ageing potential.
Cuvée Sublime Réserve 2002 Philipponnat has matured on lees in the house cellars for 7 years.
This cuvée has a deep, intense gold color with coppery highlights.
On the nose, the champagne evolves on notes of slightly candied white fruit, butter and honey.
On the palate, Sublime Réserve 2002 Philipponnat is fleshy and honeyed, carried by the elegance and freshness of Côte des Blancs chardonnays. The finish is slightly lemony.
