Cuvée Belle Epoque Rosé 2006 from Perrier-Jouët is one of the most prestigious champagnes. Produced only in the best years, this cuvée is generous and silky.
2006 was marked by a spring in which late frosts decimated many vines. The summer that followed was marked by hot, humid weather, followed by a mild autumn that helped the grapes ripen beautifully.
Cuvée Belle Epoque Rosé 2006 is a harmonious blend of Chardonnays from the terroirs of Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil, providing finesse and floral freshness, while Pinots Noirs from de Mailly, Aÿ, Verzy and Rilly add richness. Finally, a touch of Pinot Meunier from Dizy gives that characteristic roundness. The blend is completed by red Pinots Noirs from Vertus and Vincelles, which add subtle pinkish nuances.
This champagne is then aged for 6 years in the company's cellars, before being blended into Brut at 8 grams per liter.
La Belle Epoque Rosé 2006 Perrier-Jouët has a pale pink color with orange highlights.
On the nose, this cuvée offers delicate notes of red fruits (redcurrants, raspberries, pomegranates) and aromas of blood oranges and grapefruit. The second nose reveals nuances of hazelnut, brioche, honey and caramel.
On the palate, the attack is clean and fresh, with a silky mouthfeel. Intense, generous and powerful, yet delicate and delicate, with a long finish.
This champagne can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with lunch or dinner. It goes perfectly with game (goose or pigeon) or desserts (fruit charlotte or red fruit Pavlova).
