Grand Cordon is a blended champagne, the result of a marriage of more than 100 crus. Pinot Noir dominates the blend, providing structure and intensity, complemented by Chardonnay for finesse and Pinot Meunier for roundness. Part of the reserve wines are aged in large oak casks, giving them unique complexity and aromatic richness.
The vinification process respects the emblematic style of G.H. Mumm. It is carried out in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness. This champagne is then aged for 20 months in the cellar to develop its complexity and perfect balance. With a moderate dosage of 8 g/L, Grand Cordon presents a subtle balance between freshness and aromatic intensity.
A bright golden color, crossed by fine, persistent bubbles, testifies to its refined effervescence.
An intense and complex nose opens with aromas of peaches, apricots, and pineapple, enhanced by notes of vanilla, dried fruit, and a touch of honey.
On the palate, Grand Cordon reveals a lively, structured attack, followed by flavors of fresh fruit and a long, powerful finish with subtle toasted notes.
The price of a bottle of Grand Cordon G.H. Mumm is 38,95 €. This iconic cuvée, combining tradition and modernity, offers excellent value for money for lovers of prestigious champagnes.
