From the oldest Champagne tradition, Demi-Sec corresponds to the taste of 19th century consumers, fond of a very sweet wine, sometimes exceeding 150 grams per liter ... Revisited to adapt to the taste of the day, Mumm Demi -Sec is the gourmet signature of the House: a Cuvée, which, in the great Champagne tradition, perpetuates the tradition of dessert champagnes. The blend of this Cuvée is mainly composed of Pinot Meunier (60%), an aromatic grape par excellence, appreciated for its intense fruitiness. It is completed by a subtle marriage of Pinot Noir (30%) and Chardonnay (10%) - which gives it its depth - as well as reserve wines. The large dosage of 40 grams per liter plays the meeting of ripe fruit and sugar. Before aging in cellars for fifteen months, it becomes a rich, subtle and elegant champagne, sought after for its fruitiness, roundness and generosity. A dress supported by golden yellow reflections tinged with amber, where the bubbles, numerous and lively, form an intense cord. Very round, smooth and sweet - with a side of honey candy - Mumm Demi-Sec combines this sweetness with a certain freshness on the finish. As it ages for a few years in the cellar, its notes of dried fruits are clearly affirmed. Served between 8 and 10 ° C, Mumm Demi-Sec goes easily with desserts: fruit salad, yellow fruit sabayon with champagne, tarte Tatin, apricot crumble or caramelized peaches ... Likewise, its roundness and its fruitiness goes well with sweet and savory dishes - such as foie gras with figs - as well as blue cheese.
