To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Cramant terroir, G.H. Mumm has launched a superb limited-edition box containing a bottle of Blanc de Blancs Mumm de Cramant 75 cl, two tasting flutes and a silver tray engraved with a map of the Cramant terroir.
Mumm Blanc de Blancs is a rare cuvée. Created in 1882, it was for a long time reserved for the directors and friends of the House. It is only since 2008 that this cuvée has been marketed in limited quantities by wine merchants and on the tables of the greatest chefs.
Made exclusively from Chardonnay from the Cramant terroir in the Côte des Blancs, this is a cuvée with a unique personality.
It's a cuvée that perpetuates the Champagne tradition of "demi-mousse", characterized by lower pressure and finer effervescence. This 100% Chardonnay cuvée magnifies the terroir of Cramant (Cramant means chalk mountain), one of the most renowned in Champagne.
It is specially crafted to develop creamy, unctuous nuances.
Mumm Blanc de Blancs is distinguished by its pure, luminous color with slightly green highlights. Its bubbles are extremely fine.
On the nose, it offers notes of fragrant white flowers, lemon and fresh fruit.
On the palate, Mumm Blanc de Blancs has a delicate, subtle attack, marked by a beautiful chalky structure. The palate is full and unctuous, with lightly spicy aromas and a silky texture. The finish is rich and expressive.
A superb aperitif champagne that will also stand out with seafood, lobster or warm oysters.
