      Description

Champagne Moutard's Demi-Sec cuvée is a true Champagne delicacy. With its generous dosage of 34 g/L, it elegantly combines freshness and sweetness. Perfect for accompanying desserts, this champagne seduces with its aromatic richness and enveloping style.

The production of Moutard's Demi-Sec champagne

From the heart of the Côte des Bar, this champagne is made from grapes grown on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soil. The vines are cultivated with respect for the environment, with soil preparation including winter plowing and natural amendments based on cow manure and grape marc.

      Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by gentle pneumatic pressing. The must is cold settled (7°C) then fermented in temperature-controlled vats at 18-20°C. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle at 15°C, followed by a minimum of 36 months' ageing on slats. The final dosage is 34 g/L, giving this champagne its typical Demi-Sec character.

      Tasting notes

      • Appearance

The color is a deep golden yellow, enlivened by a fine, creamy effervescence.

      • Nose

The nose is rich and developed, with aromas of fresh butter, toasted almonds, and brioche. A generous and indulgent expression.

      • Palate

On the palate, the balance is remarkable: lively acidity harmoniously counterbalances the sugars. The texture is round and melt-in-the-mouth, with a creamy finish.
