The 2019 Noces de Craie cuvée, produced by Jean-Paul Hébrart, is the result of a passion for Pinot Noir, planted on exceptional land where chalk is close to the surface.This Blanc de Noirs is therefore made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes from five plots: "Cheuzelles," "Longchamps," "Pruche," "Chaffour," and "Pierre-Robert."
These plots, which are around fifty years old, are located in the heart of the village of Aÿ, a terroir where chalk outcrops force the vines to dig deep to find nourishment and thus get the best out of this difficult soil. This terroir is located on the historic slopes of Champagne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This is a confidential cuvée, produced only in the best years. 2019 is only the fifth vintage of this cuvée. The wine is Extra-Brut.
The nose of this 2019 Noces de Craie cuvée is powerful, sustained and complex. It combines the freshness of chalk with the power of Pinot Noir.
On the palate, the attack is full of freshness and liveliness, which highlight beautiful fruity aromas.
