The Noces de Craie 2018 cuvée, created by Jean-Paul Hébrart, is the fruit of a passion for Pinot Noir, planted on exceptional soil where the chalk outcrops.
This Blanc de Noirs is composed exclusively of Pinot Noirs from 5 parcels: "Cheuzelles", "Longchamps", "Pruche", "Chaffour", and "Pierre-Robert".
These fifty-year-old plots are located in the heart of the village of Aÿ, a terroir where the chalk outcrops force the vines to plunge deep to feed themselves, and thus make the most of this difficult soil. This terroir is located on the historic hillsides of Champagne, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This is a confidential cuvée, made only in the best years; 2018 is only the fourth vintage of this cuvée. The Extra-Brut dosage is 5 g/L.
The nose of this cuvée Noces de Craie 2018 is powerful, sustained and complex. It combines the freshness of chalk with the power of Pinot Noir.
On the palate, the attack is full of freshness and liveliness, underlining beautiful fruity aromas.
