      Description

Louise Brison's Rosé de la Côte des Bar M20 is a rosé champagne made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. Vinified in barrels and without any dosage, this certified organic cuvée reveals a pure, elegant and intense expression of the Kimmeridgian terroir of the Côte des Bar. It combines crisp fruit, finesse and structure.

The production of Louise Brison's Rosé de la Côte des Bar M20

Rosé de la Côte des Bar M20 is a 100% Pinot Noir cuvée from a single vintage: 2020. It is produced from vines located in Noé-les-Mallets, at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils with south/southeast exposure. This terroir gives the wine a bright and structured profile.

      The 2020 vintage

2020 is a sunny vintage, the first officially certified organic for the Louise Brison estate. The vines enjoyed a peaceful growing season until August, marked by high temperatures. The grapes ripened in excellent conditions, producing rich, well-balanced fruit. This vintage has produced a rosé that is both expressive and refined.

      Vinification

After carefully controlled maceration, the wine is aged for nine months in oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to bring roundness and complexity. Disgorging took place in November 2022 with zero dosage (Brut Nature). This champagne contains no added sugar in order to preserve the fruit's brightness.

      Tasting notes

      • Appearance

The color is deep pink with salmon highlights, enlivened by fine, lively effervescence.

      • Nose

The nose is expressive, crisp and fruity, with aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry and redcurrant. With aeration, floral and slightly spicy notes emerge.

      • Palate

The palate is full-bodied, fresh and delicious, carried by a beautiful mineral tension. The finish reveals noble bitterness and a very elegant salty sensation.
