Authentique from the house of Le Brun de Neuville is a cuvee of pure pleasure and gourmandise, the product of the highest skills in Champagne.
This marriage of 65% Chardonnay, 30 % Pinot Noir completed with 5% of oak aged wine is a return to historic champagne making methods by Le Brun de Neuville, with traditional vinification, partial malolactic fermentation to preserve the bright freshness of this cuvee, plus use of cork closures at bottling to provide the necessary micro-oxygenation for the perfect development of complexity and aromas during its 60 months cellar ageing period. In Champagne these traditional techniques are reserved for only the greatest of cuvees.
The Le Brun de Neuville cuvee Authentique is dosed at 8g/L, allowing plenary expression of its aromas.

The cuvée Authentique is a scintillating golden colour gleaming with bright reflections.
It proffers a complexity of rich aromas of dried fruit, hazelnuts and toasted almonds, whilst at the same time remaining exquisitely fresh.
Fresh and incisive on the attack, the middle palate evolves with great smoothness punctuated by fresh notes of citrus, finishing with superb persistence.
I would recommend serving this champagne as an aperitif, in order to fully appreciate its prodigious freshness. To enjoy the cuvee Authentique from Le Brun de Neuville at its very best, I would suggest a serving temperature of between 8°C and 9°C.
