      Description

The Laurent-Perrier champagne house only rarely produces vintage champagnes, only in outstanding years. 2002 was evidently one of those rare years which offered the perfect balance between acidity and softness.

Brut Millésimé 2002 from Laurent-Perrier is a supremely balanced blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, from the very best terroirs of Champagne : the Montagne de Reims and the Cote des Blancs. The blend, determined after tasting of the first pressed juices, highlights the extreme quality of the Chardonnays with their fresh acidity and the powerful, fruit of the Pinots Noirs.

Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2002 is a luminous yellow gold with greenish tints enhanced by a fine and persistent effervescence.

This vintage champagne opens powerfully on notes of acacia and hawthorn, evolving towards ripe fruits and honey.

The palate is vivid, carried by the fine effervescence, revealing a complex cuvee whose notes of white-fleshed fruits linger on the finish.
