Larmandier-Bernier's Terre de Vertus cuvée is one of the first plot-based cuvées produced in Champagne. It was in the mid-1990s that Pierre Larmandier decided to isolate one of his parcels from the Vertus terroir, a plot located at Les Barillers. Pierre Larmandier decided to create a special cuvée from these grapes, which express the extraordinary minerality, finesse and complexity of the Vertus terroir.
Pierre Larmandier's desire was to make a wine without artifice, one that best expressed its terroir, and this is how he came up with the Terre de Vertus cuvée. Aged on the lees in tuns for a year, with light stirring, without filtration or fining, this Blanc de Blancs champagne is not dosed, to let the wine express itself fully.
Cuvée Terre de Vertus 2011 is a cuvée with complex, exotic notes. An intense, vibrant, high-flying cuvée.
