Larmandier-Bernier was established in 1971 by Philippe Larmandier and his wife Elisabeth Bernier. With their renowned Cramant Blanc de Blancs Nature they made a significant contribution to the prominence of the côte des Blancs. Today Pierre and Sophie Larmandier, who are now at the helm of this champagne house, have chosen natural viticulture : no herbicides, environmentally respectful tilling and biodynamics, to capture the authentic taste of their grapes. Their champagnes are emphatic, powerful and intense. The most emblematic is the Terres de Vertus, a 100% unblended Chardonnay, of remarkable finesse. Their Vieilles Vignes de Cramant is crafted from old vines ranging from 48 to over 75 years of age, whose deep rootedness and diversity contribute to the complexity of this champagne. It is a focussed cuvee of the utmost purity with a superlative finish.
