Description
Vieilles Vignes de Cramant 2005 Extra-Brut made by Larmandier-Bernier is a Blanc de Blancs all in power, complexity and silky opulence, made from old vines at Cramant of between 48 to over 70 years of age whose roots plunge deep into the chalky subsoil of this exceptional terroir.
This deep rooting in the chalk strata which give the Côte des Blancs its particularity contributes to the complexity of Vieilles Vignes de Cramant 2005 Extra-Brut.
Matured in barrel and in tank before bottling, it is then laid down in the Larmandier-Bernier cellars to develop for around 4 years.
Its extremely low dosage, around 2g, underlines the purity and the finesse of its aromas, and emphasizes the unique personality of the 2005 vintage.
Excellent as an aperitif, or with a supreme of chicken or pork in cream sauce.

Larmandier-Bernier Vieilles Vignes de Cramant 2005 Extra-Brut offers up a golden yellow robe with pale highlights and a fine, persistent effervescence.
Nose
The nose reveals a champagne of intensity and subtlety with very ripe, slightly crystalized red and citrus fruits.
Palate
Sumptuous, with good vinosity, Vieilles Vignes de Cramant 2005 Extra-Brut is powerful and concentrated but perfectly balanced.
Service
It will accompany to perfection a veal stew or poultry, served between 8 et 9°C.
