Cuvée Rosé Célébris is an exceptional cuvée distinguished by its rarity. In fact, this vintage is the 4th edition of this range after the Rosé Célébris 1998, 2003 and 2007, and is offered in a limited edition of 15,000 bottles.
Rosé Célébris 2008 is a blend of 72% Chardonnay and 28% Pinot Noir, 8% of which is vinified as red wine. The grapes come from the Grands Crus villages of Bouzy, Ambonnay, Avize and Aÿ, and the Premiers Crus communes of Cuis, Cumières, Vertus, Villez-Marmery and Trépail.
Vinification and ageing take place in stainless steel tanks. Bottles are then aged for 12 years in our own cellars. Dosage at 6.5 g/L and malolactic fermentation round out the aromas.
This cuvée has a luminous, crystalline copper color, reflecting its long maturation in the cellars.
The nose reveals scents of strawberry jam, enhanced by spices such as black pepper and menthol. It then opens up to hints of summer fruit, with peach, nectarine and apricot.
On the palate, this wine presents a greedy tension with ripe black cherry aromas, balanced by a note of blood orange bringing an enveloping acidic freshness. The iodized finish recalls the minerality of the Chardonnays dominating this blend.
Maison Gosset's Rosé Célébris 2008 is the perfect accompaniment to the finest dishes, such as foie gras, porcini mushrooms, poultry, lobster or strawberry and citrus desserts.
